Pierwsze urodziny/ First Birthday

Today seemed so far in the future when Marielle was born...and yet, it came so quick:) She is now almost walking, almost talking to us, and becoming more and more independent every day. But a year ago, she was a lot more helpless, as you can see here:

Dzisiejszy dzien wydawal sie tak odlegly kiedy Marysia sie urodzila, a jednak nadszedl bardzo szybko. Marysia teraz juz prawie chodzi, prawie mowi,  i staje sie coraz bardziej samodzielna kazdego dnia. Ale rok temu byla o wiele bardziej bezradna, sami zobaczcie:

And now she is helping with the laundry,

A teraz z praniem pomaga:

And she can even eat (sort of ) her own birthday cake

I nawet sama zje swoj tort urodzinowy (no prawie)

And to follow Polish tradition, we gave her a choice of a coin (for wealth), shot glass (for drinking a lot), and a book (for being book smart). The tradition says that the one(s) she chooses, will show what her future will be like...so, you need to watch it to see who she will become
