Dzisiaj karmilismy mala po raz pierwszy "na powaznie", bo sprobowalismy juz wczesniej, ale wtedy nic nie wyszlo. Takze mala zaczela dzis od slodkich ziemniaczkow ze sloiczka:) Zjadla polowe sloiczka i juz po pierwszych lyzeczkach otwierala buzie, takze musialam sie spieszyc z podawaniem. Today, we gave the baby her first solids "for real", because we tried earlier, but that wasn't real eating. So,she started with sweet potatoes:) She ate a half of a jar, and already after a few spoons I had to speed up the delivery:) Pictures below, as well as one with daddy and another one in her cute pj.
Bylismy u lekarza na czteromiesiecznym przegladzie u pediatry. Mala rozwija sie bardzo dobrze, i rosnie jak na drozdzach. Wazy troszke powyzej 8 kg i mierzy 69 cm. Jesli bylaby dzieckiem przecietnych wymiarow to powinna miec 8 miesiecy, a ma 4:) Bedziemy zaczynac karmienie stalymi pokarmami, wiec beda zdjecia z prob (udanych i nieudanych), a na razie kilka zdjec w ciuszkach od dziadkow poznanskich, poki jeszcze sa po tej stronie oceanu.
We went for a 4-month check up at the pediatrician. Marielle is developing very smoothly, and she is growing quickly. She is 18lbs and 27 inches long. If she was an average size baby, she would be 8 months old, but she is only 4:) We will be starting solid foods in the next few days, so pictures will follow with more or less successful attempts. For now, a few pictures in the outfits from Poznan grandparents while they are still on this side of the ocean.

Jak zaczelam wspominac to swieto to okazalo sie ze dosyc duzo waznych momentow wydarzylo sie w czasie tego wikendu. W 2003 roku, w rzeczone swieto, a nawet dokladnie 31 sierpnia zaczelismy chodzic ze soba, a rok pozniej w 2004 (tym razem w Polsce na slubie Marty i Toniego Kirchman) zdecydowalismy ze chcemy kontynowac nasza znajomosc na powaznie bo sie kochamy. W 2005 roku spedzalam to swieto w Atlancie z Holzikiem, a w 2006 bylismy od trzech tygodni w Atenach, swiezo po slubie....potem w 2010 wlasnie zaczelam prace na uniwerku, a w 2011 dowiedzielismy sie ze bedziemy mieli dziecko. W 2012 roku dzien przed Swietem Pracy (w niedziele) nasza corka skonczy 4 miesiace...ciekawe co przyniesie dlugi wikend w 2013....
W przyszlym tygodniu idziemy na wizyte do lekarza, wiec wtedy bede wszelkie dane na temat rozwoju malej...dzisiaj tylko zdjecia.
It has been a year today since we found out that I was pregnant, just like last year it is around Labor Day weekend. When I started to think back about this holiday, it turned out that a lot of important moments happened on or around this weekend. In 2003 during that weekend, more specifically on Aug 31st:) we became a couple, and a year later in 2004 (this time in Poland at Marta and Tony Kirchamn's wedding) we decided to continue our relationship because we loved each other. In 2005, I spend that holiday in Atlanta with Halsey, and in 2006 we were already in Athens for three weeks, just married...then, in 2010 I just started to work at UGA, in 2011 we found out that I was pregnant, and this year, a day before the actual holiday our daughter will be 4 months old....I wonder what 2013 Labor Day weekend will bring....
Next week we are going for her check up, so all the measurements will be noted then, for now just some pictures.
W niedziele ochrzcilismy Marysie, wiec wszelkie pozostalosci diabelka sie pozbylismy. Na chrzest zjechalo sie duzo rodziny oraz znajomi, wiec bardzo milo nam bylo. Po chrzecie poszlismy na obiad do restauracji, a potem do domu i juz po wszystkim. Wszystkim dziekujemy za przybycie i zyczenia!
On Sunday, we have baptized Marielle, so any devilish residues were removed. We have enjoyed a lot the fact that a lot of family and friends have shown up. After the ceremony we went for dinner, then home, and that was it. Done. Thank you all for coming and best wishes!
Nowe dzwieki Maryska zaczyna wydawac, szczegolnie jak je, bo przeciez ona moze i jesc i mowic w tym samym czasie:) No i my jestesmy przekonani, ze okolo 1min 3 sek oraz 1min 15 sek, mala mowi "Marielle." Jak myslicie? A ponizej zdjecie z kapieli oraz kolejne nowe wdzianko...a jutro bedziemy diabla wyganiac, bo chrzest sie odbedzie. Zdjecia niedlugo!
Marielle is producing new sounds, especially when she is eating, since she is totally capable of eating and talking at the same time:) Moreover, we are convinced that around 1 min 3 sec and 1 min 15 sec she says "Marielle."
